Delighted to attend & support the Fairtrade Awareness Campaign this morning in Leitrim. The Fairtrade Committee in Carrick on Shannon, lead by Sr Nora, held a parade through the town along with the teachers & pupils from the National Schools, to highlight the importance  of supporting fairtrade products & producers. Very interesting speech from a visiting producer from Central America. Alex, from El Salvador,  outlined to listeners the impact of recognising the Fairtrade brand when purchasing products & the positive impact of supporting their brands.
