Graduate Placement Programme

February 7, 2018/in News /by Sinead

Very positive feedback, and contributions, from participants of the Graduate Placement Programme Event, tonight at the Hive.

The Local Enterprise Offices (LEO’s) in Leitrim, Longford, Roscommon and Cavan worked in partnership, in 2017, to deliver a graduate placement programme which successfully placed 22 graduates with local businesses across the four counties.

Through the programme, graduates were connected with a full-time, paid internship centered on a two way skills transfer – (Graduates transferred new skills and approaches to their employers and employers transferred entrepreneurial learning and experience of running a business.)

Head of Leitrim LEO (who were hosting the event) Joe Lowe, while acknowledging the work of Leitrim’s Nicola McManus, in formulating the programme, confirmed the scheme will be repeated in 2018.
