Official launch of the new pilot bus service for Carrick on Shannon
The “bus round town” service will operate initially once a week on Thursdays, at three different times in the day, and will take in most areas of the town. It is a joint venture between the Leitrim and Roscommon rural transport groups and is certainly a welcomed new service. I am delighted to see this service in operation as it has been raised by many forums and groups, particular those participating in the Council’s “An Saol Maith” initiative and the more recent “Age Friendly” initiative and action plan.
