April 24, 2016/in News /by Sinead
Proud to be part of Leitrim County Council’s 1916 -2016 committee. Today we held a special flag raising ceremony. Guests included members from Sean Mac Diarmada’s & Thomas Clarke’s families, current and past elected representatives along with, current and past members of the Defence Forces. Leitrim students shared their poetic talents and the MC for the morning was Journalist, broadcaster and writer Carol Coleman, who delivered a thought provoking reflection. And  before the flag was raised and the wonderful Kiltubrid pipe band played the National Anthem, Drumsna’s Caoimhne Mooney won the hearts of all once again with her rendition of “Grace”.
